As well as developing the spiritual ideas surrounding this guitar, one of the main goals in creating the Suzuki Swallow was to produce it with the ‘perfect purple’ colour. To compliment this, the graphic art finish of the body and matched headstock is as eye-catching as it is unique. The ‘dreamcatcher’ inlay at the 12th fret completes the design perfectly.

Tone woods

As an acoustic guitar, it is important for the tone to be warm and resonant and does not disappoint for such a modestly priced instrument. The bridge and fingerboard are solid black walnut which has a beautiful grain as well as providing incredible tone. The top/soundboard is spruce, which combined with the linden wood sides and back produces solid bass notes from the body as well as crisp highs across the catalpa neck.

A bone nut and compensated bone saddle ensure the intonation is accurate across the breadth of the fretboard. Bone is also an excellent material for providing a high-quality, natural string tone. The dreadnought cutaway body projects very well and also offers easy access to those higher frets. This is an excellent choice for a range of techniques and styles. The chrome, smooth-action machine heads are die-cast and provide stable string tuning.
